About this villa.
Villa Shantika is on a gang off Jalan Drupadi, the street that runs between Dhyana Pura and Eat Street, which is about as central as Seminyak gets. What you would not expect at that address is the garden: 480 m² of mature trees, lawn and frangipani, with a lap pool running down the middle of it and rattan daybeds on timber decking along one side.
The living pavilion is open-sided and faces the water directly — from the sofa to the pool is a couple of steps. Above it, a mezzanine under the same pitched roof works as a second, quieter sitting room, with a large book collection and a television.
Three bedrooms, all with king beds, all with their own open-air en-suite bathroom. The master has a freestanding terrazzo tub under the sky, which is the detail people remember.
Double Six beach and the bars along it are about 800 metres away — walkable for sunset, and close enough that you can leave the car where it is.
The living pavilion sits open on two sides under a high timber roof with white drapes, deep sofas and a low table, looking straight out over the pool. A staircase leads up to the mezzanine, a carpeted lounge with cushions, a television and shelves of books — the spot people end up in during the afternoon heat.
The dining pavilion holds a long timber table for eight beneath a dramatic pitched ceiling, and the kitchen alongside is properly equipped with a full oven and range, large fridge and generous stone counters.
Outside, the pool runs the length of the garden, edged by timber decking with round rattan daybeds and umbrellas. The garden is the unusual part for this location — mature pandanus and frangipani, lawn, and stepping stones between the pavilions.
All three bedrooms have king beds, air conditioning and their own tropical open-air en-suite with stone basins and a garden shower. The master adds a television and a freestanding terrazzo bathtub open to the sky.
Two staff look after the villa, with a guest assistant, gardener and pool service. There is a back-up generator, which in this part of Bali is not a small thing.
Other things to note
Villa Shantika is also let as a two-bedroom villa at a lower rate, with the third bedroom locked; you still have the garden, pool and all living areas. In high and peak season both configurations are priced the same, so there is no reason not to take all three. Ask us if you want the smaller option.
Breakfast is included, and a chef can cook lunch and dinner on request, charged at cost plus a service fee. Massages can be arranged in the villa. Airport transfers, cars, drivers and scooters are all available at extra cost — ask us for current rates rather than assuming transfers are included.
Minimum stay is two nights for most of the year, rising to four in peak season and over the Easter period.

Where you'll stay.
Get directions →Villa Shantika is down Gang Rukun off Jalan Drupadi, the connecting street between Dhyana Pura and Jalan Kayu Aya — Seminyak’s Eat Street. Being on a gang rather than the main road is what keeps it quiet. Double Six beach is roughly 800 metres, an easy walk, and La Plancha and the other beach bars along that stretch are the same distance. Seminyak Square, the Petitenget restaurants and the boutiques on Kayu Aya are all a few minutes by car or a longer walk. Ngurah Rai airport is around 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.

Questions, answered.
How many people does Villa Shantika sleep?
Six guests across three bedrooms, each with a king bed and its own en-suite. Villa Finder lists a maximum of eight, so extra bedding may be possible — tell us your group and we will confirm before you book.
How far is the beach?
Double Six beach is about 800 metres, an easy walk. La Plancha and the other beach bars along that stretch are the same distance, which makes it a straightforward walk down for sunset drinks.
Is it noisy, being that central?
The villa is down a gang off Jalan Drupadi rather than on the road itself, and the 480 m² garden puts distance between the bedrooms and the street. You are a few minutes from Eat Street without hearing it.
What is the cancellation policy?
Villa Shantika follows the standard Villa Finder policy: 20% is charged for cancellations 90 or more days before arrival, 50% between 60 and 89 days, and 100% within 59 days, plus a USD 200 administration fee.
Can I book Villa Shantika with two bedrooms?
Yes, a two-bedroom rate is available outside high season and the third bedroom is locked. In high and peak season both configurations cost the same, so you may as well take all three.
Is the villa suitable for children?
The garden is large and enclosed, with lawn between the pavilions. A pool fence, cot, high chair and babysitter are all available on request. Note the pool is a lap pool rather than a shallow one, so young children will need watching.
