3BR Open-Air Villa with Rice Field Views & Garden Bathtub in Umalas

A three-bedroom villa on Bumbak, in Umalas, built as an open-air pavilion facing open rice fields. There are no walls on the garden side at all: a pitched bamboo ceiling on black steel trusses runs the width of the house, and living, dining and kitchen sit beneath it in the open, looking straight down the pool to the paddies. A rattan swing chair hangs at one end and a low carved-timber table anchors a sunken lounge at the other.

The pool runs along the front of the plot with a timber deck and a daybed at the near end, and nothing between it and the fields but a low glass rail. The kitchen is open too - a white counter with bar stools, gas hob and full-height fridge - with a long rattan dining table beside it. Living this way means the main rooms are naturally ventilated rather than air-conditioned; the bedrooms are enclosed and cooled.

One has a four-poster with macrame and folding glass to the garden, another opens straight onto the pool deck, and a third has a timber wardrobe wall and a full-length mirror. Bumbak is the quiet lane between Umalas and Kerobokan, with 7-Eleven, warungs and cafes within a short walk and the CC's Umalas gate a few minutes away. Berawa Beach is about 3.7 km, Batu Bolong and central Canggu around 3.9-4.3 km, Petitenget 4.1 km and Seminyak 5.5 km. Ngurah Rai Airport is roughly 13.6 km - 40 to 50 minutes depending on traffic.
